Forrest Gump
The 1994 American film Forrest Gump, starring Tom Hanks and produced by Paramount Pictures, included a scene in which Hanks' character and his love interest Jenny (played by Robin Wright) enjoy a nighttime fireworks show. The film was partially shot in Savannah, Ga.
Richmond Braves
Between 1966-2008, the Richmond Braves operated as a minor-league Baseball team in Richmond, Virginia. Owned by the Atlanta Braves, the games occasionally featured beautiful fireworks displays. The team would move to Gwinnett, Ga, in 2009 to become the Gwinnett Braves.
Stone Mountain
The laser show at Stone Mountain is one of the most iconic events in Georgia. From 1980-1994, John's company Southern International Fireworks added a bevy of colorful explosions timed to the show to make for an unforgettable finale.
Toni Braxton Wedding
R&B songstress Toni Braxton contracted Pyrotecnico's services for her 2001 wedding to Atlanta musician Keri Lewis. As the Southeast Sales Manager, John facilitated the production of a fireworks display that served as a grand finale moment for the couple's nuptials.
Zone 4, Inc
Between 2010-present, John and his crew have put on many colorful and vibrant grand finale fireworks shows for music producer Polow Da Don's charitable Thanksgiving carnival at Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta.
Atlanta Braves
From 1979-1985, John held the account for the Atlanta, Braves baseball team. On July 4th, 1985, the Braves and Mets played into a historic 19th inning. Despite their loss, the Braves went forward with the planned fireworks show at 4AM.
Atlanta Olympics Announcement
When it was declared that Atlanta would hold the 1996 Olympic Games, Southern International Fireworks (John's pyrotechnic company at the time) was tasked with adding some razzle-dazzle to the announcement. The company not only put on a giant fireworks show, but John's balloon company also provided a life-size balloon display of the iconic Olympic rings to celebrate.
Coca-Cola 100 Years
For Coke's 100th anniversary celebration in Atlanta, Ga, John's company provided multi-colored confetti to add an elevated sparkle to the 4 day-long festivities.

When the Coca-Cola Olympic City debuted ahead of the 1996 games, John's event company Festive Effects added to the celebration, launching a bevy of streamers into the air.
